June 5

I got to the library at opening so not many people here. Used the Rick Steves audio tour in the treasures room. really wonderful! I couldn't take pics but I saw the Magna Carta, original writings of songs by the Beatles, Handel's Messiah, Shakespeare's folios, bibles of the earliest types including the Gutenberg bible (some idiot actually took a flash photo of it!) original copy of Beowulf, original writings of Da Vinci and Newton and many other historic manuscripts of famous writers.

Thousands of books in this enclosed area that belonged to King George III.

Went to the British Museum next. Anyone who is into Egyptian artifacts would seriously love this place!

I took a bunch of pics that I will post to Facebook when I get home. Great museum!

Carnaby Street!

Gloucester Road station.
It was in the high 70's but felt way warmer to me. The tube was really steamy! I should have brought shorts.
